Introducing, Prototyping History:
Did you know that the name lenses, the part of eyeglasses, were named that because of their lentil bean shape? Did you know that the saxophone was invented because its inventor wanted a new instrument that would be between a brass and woodwind family? Or that potato chips were an invention transformed out of frustration at a restaurant customer?
In this study, you will learn about the different inventions over the course of history. Each page includes a brief overview of the invention, links to websites, and if possible, a list of books with more information. Also some inventions will have activities, crafts, recipes, experiments, or projects that you can complete as well! This study can be used either as a stand alone Invention Study or as a supplement to your current history program. View the Sample |
